Nearest (“we”, “MindCrossed”) helps you find nearby places and plan trips. This policy describes what we collect when you use the Nearest mobile app (Android and iOS) and website at nearest.mindcrossed.com.

Information we collect

Location — when you allow it, to find nearby services, show distances, and anchor trip planning.

Account data — if you sign in (email or Google/Apple OAuth): display name, email, and profile identifiers via Supabase.

App content — trips, stops, favorites, notes, and search history you create. Trips are stored on your device; favorites and profile may sync when you use an account.

Camera — only when you scan a trip QR code or use camera features you open; we do not access the camera in the background.

How we use information

We use your data to provide nearby search, trip planning, sharing, emergency nearby lookup, and account features. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

• Google Places & Maps — place search, maps, and navigation links
• Supabase — authentication and cloud storage for account features

Your use of those services is also subject to their privacy policies.

Storage & retention

Trips are stored on your device. Account and favorites data may be stored in Supabase when signed in. You may delete your account in the app under Profile → Privacy, which removes cloud account data we control. Uninstalling the app removes local data on your device.

Your choices

• Use guest mode without creating an account
• Revoke location or camera permission in device settings
• Delete your account in Profile → Privacy when signed in

Children

Nearest is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
